New Epstein documents were released by Democrats on Wednesday, Nov. 12, including emails in which Jeffrey Epstein claims President Donald Trump “knew about the girls,” according to new documents released by the House Oversight Committee.

Hours after this release, Republican committee members released 20,000 pages of additional files obtained from Epstein’s estate, significantly escalating political pressure over a possible vote in Congress to force full disclosure of the remaining “Epstein Files.”

Estein’s email contains references to Trump

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee said newly released 2011 emails from Epstein, as summarized by Axios, claimed that the victim, whose name was redacted, “spent hours with[Trump]at my house.”

Another 2019 email from Mr. Epstein claimed that Mr. Trump “knew about the women,” a reference to Mr. Trump’s long-standing public claim that Mr. Epstein was banned from Mar-a-Lago after investors allegedly approached young female staffers.

Trump has not been charged with any wrongdoing related to Epstein.

Republicans said the purpose of the release was to provide a more complete record and accused Democrats of selectively releasing politically sensitive emails.

The latest publication adds to a significant body of Epstein-related material released in recent years.

  • In January 2024, thousands of pages of the 2015 lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell were unsealed, listing the names of prominent acquaintances and victims who have spoken publicly.
  • In February 2025, the Justice Department released more than 100 pages of documents, including flight logs, evidence lists, redacted contact books, and a list of masseuses.
  • A July 2025 Justice Department and FBI memo concludes there is no evidence that Epstein kept a “client list,” blackmailed powerful people, or was murdered. Investigators examined surveillance cameras in the prison cell and said there was “no evidence” anyone entered Epstein’s cell the night he died.
  • The Justice Department subsequently released both raw and enhanced video of the cell area, which appeared to support the official finding that Epstein died by suicide.
  • In August 2025, a transcript and audio recording of an interview with Ghislaine Maxwell by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche was released. In the statement, Maxwell said she had never seen President Trump “in an inappropriate setting.”
  • Former Prince Andrew remains under international scrutiny as new material relating to Epstein comes to light. He recently lost his title of Prince and is now called Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

Daily schedule inspired by Musk, Teal and Bannon

Further documents released in September included Epstein’s daily schedule, which mentioned:

  • Elon Musk has a statement that suggests he may have flown to an “island” in 2014
  • Peter Thiel appears in The Dinner Promise
  • Steve Bannon mentioned at 2019 conference

Congress prepares for decisive vote on full release of Epstein files

Much of the political focus is currently on Congresswoman-elect Adelita Grijalva, whose swearing-in on Wednesday is expected to deliver the 218th signature needed to trigger a House vote to force the Justice Department to release all unclassified Epstein files.

If a discharge petition reaches 218 signatures, it will be frozen for seven days during the legislative period. House Speaker Mike Johnson then has two days to bring the measure to a vote, likely in early December after the Thanksgiving recess.

If the bill passes the House, it will be moved to the Republican-controlled Senate, where it must be signed by President Trump.
