Roadside Attractions has acquired North American rights. H is for Hawk Awards qualifiers are scheduled for December ahead of the BFI London Film Festival slot on Sunday (October 12). Claire Foy.
The Plan B-produced film, directed by Philippa Lowthorpe and premiering in Telluride, centers on a grieving woman who turns to falconry to overcome the loss of her father. The cast includes Brendan Gleeson, Dennis Goff, Lindsay Duncan, and Sam Spruell.
Lowthorpe co-wrote the script. room Based on Helen Macdonald’s memoir of the same name, written by author and screenwriter Emma Donoghue. Foy’s credits include: the crown and women speaking.
Executive producers include Film4’s Farhana Bourla and Olly Madden, who developed the script on Plan B, as well as Saturnia, Cliff Studios, City Hill Arts, Desmar, Protagonist Pictures, Peephole Productions, Lionsgate UK, Foy and Helen McDonald.

Roadside negotiated the deal on behalf of the filmmakers with UTA Independent Film Group and Protagonist Pictures. Protagonist Pictures also sells internationally.
