Giants’ Darius Slayton (hamstring) is expected to miss TNF in Week 6

During the Giants’ Week 4 win over the Chargers, wide receiver Malik Nabors suffered a torn ACL. It’s a season-ending injury that will require surgery. It was a devastating loss for New York offensively.

Without Nabers, Darius Slayton and Wan’Dale Robinson will be the Giants’ top wide receivers. On Wednesday morning, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler gave an update on the horrific injury in New York. Barring any unforeseen changes, Darius Saliton is expected to miss Week 6 of TNF with a hamstring injury. Due to quick action, Slayton is on track to reach New York.

New York’s WR core will be reduced in Week 6 against the Eagles.

Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton (hamstring strain) is not expected to play in Thursday’s game against the Eagles, according to sources.

Short weeks are tough on the hamstrings. Barring a surprising rise, it would be out.

Darius Slayton, a seventh-year pro, is one of the Giants’ longest-tenured players. He was a sixth-round pick out of Auburn in the 2019 draft. Slayton played in 97 games and started 70 for the Giants during his career. He was named captain on New York’s roster for the first time. Darius Slayton is well-respected in New York’s locker room. Unfortunately, the 28-year-old will not be available for the Giants in Week 6.

The veteran WR is suffering from a hamstring injury. Considering the fact that New York is on a short break, Darius Slayton is out. Wan’Dale Robinson will be the WR1 in Week 6 against the Eagles. New York also has Jaylin Hyatt, Beau Collins and Gunner Olzweski. Team official Jordan Raanan announced that the team could promote Lil’ Jordan Humphrey from the practice squad to play against the Eagles.

No Darius Slayton vs. the Eagles. He was limping badly in the locker room yesterday. The turnaround is too quick to take a chance.

Darius Slayton wasn’t the only Giant to suffer a hamstring injury in Week 6. Rookie QB Jackson Dart was placed on the injury report ahead of the game against the Eagles. But head coach Brian Daboll said Dart was “okay.” This is good news for the rookie moving forward. New York wants Dart to gain as much experience on the field as possible in his first professional season.

Through five games, Malik Nabors still leads the team in receptions and receiving yards. But Wan’Dale Robinson isn’t far behind. He had one fewer catch and four fewer yards than Nabors. If Robinson can stay healthy in 2025, there’s a good chance Robinson will lead the team in receptions and receiving yards. Robinson’s 93 catches, 699 yards, and three touchdowns were all career highs in 2024. Robinson has 34 catches for 267 yards and one touchdown this season.
