After a 17-13 victory in Week 1 with the Seahawks vs. Seahawks, Brock Purdy of the 49ers dealt with shoulder and toe injuries. The 25-year-old missed two straight games for San Francisco. Backup QB Mac Jones started in week 2 and 3, helping the 49ers lead the victory. A few days before the fourth week game, QB Brock Purdy is back. He started off for the team in week 4, but San Francisco lost 26-21.
On Monday, NFL insider Nick Wagoner reported that Brock Purdy complained of pain in his toes. Coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with Purdy and said QB had no issues during the game. The team has already dealt with some injuries in the offense. San Francisco can’t afford to miss a Brock Purdy anytime.

The team will quickly turn around in week 5. They’re heading down the road for Thursday night Football vs. Los Angeles Rams. If Purdy can’t play, Mac Jones will make their third start of the 2025 season. This is a key division matchup for NFC West. San Francisco is 2-0 in the division this season, winning against the Seahawks and Cardinals.
During his fourth week loss to the Jaguar, WR Ricky Pearsall suffered a knee injury. Kyle Shanahan has expressed long-term optimism for Pearsall, but the younger WR could be in Week 5 and for the Rams.
