WASHINGTON – The Congress must pass a suspension bill until September 30th to fund the government. Otherwise, it means the government will be closed on Wednesday.
The White House and Republicans are currently trapped in a conflict with Democrats over a stoppage bill that will fund the government until November 21st. Democrats have requested that the law include several medical measures, including an extension of certain affordable care law subsidies that expire at the end of the year. The Trump administration and Republican leaders have rejected these requests.
