Adelita Griarba, daughter of late US Rep. Raul Griarba (D-Ariz.), won a special election for the US House of Representatives in Arizona’s 7th District, recently held by her father.
Grijalva defeated Republican candidate Daniel Butierez, bringing 70.6% of the vote to 27.6%. At the time of writing, she had a total of 58,046 votes. The race was called by the Associated Press at 11:08pm (East of the US).
