Last Monday there were two NFL games for fans to watch. Early on the two, they kicked off at 7pm ET. Tampa Bay was on the path to playing Houston.
It required a game-winning touchdown drive to get away with the Buccaneers in a narrow 20-19 victory. The team is 2-0, but Tampa Bay’s offensive line continues to be destroyed by injuries. To begin the season, the team knew there was no Tristan Wirfs. He recovered from an arthroscopic knee surgery in July. Additionally, RT Luke Goedeke was injured in week 2. The start of RGCodyMauch suffered a knee injury requiring surgery. His 2025 campaign is over.
Will the Buccaneers survive until their offensive line is healthy?
#bucs The office lady, a huge force, is destroyed by injuries. Tristan Weils hasn’t played with a knee injury yet. RTLukeGoedeke has a leg injury.
They also lost DT Kariya Kansy in the season due to a chest injury. https://t.co/epq3m60xwx

The Buccaneers will face adversity to begin the 2025 season. The strong offensive line is considered to be one of Tampa Bay’s strengths. Two weeks after the season, they don’t have three of the five starting linemen. Tristan Wires was injured during the offseason. He had arthroscopic knee surgery in July. NFL Insiders are hoping WIRF will return near the 7th week.
Tampa Bay had to shuffle offensive lines. Center’s start Cody Burton plays a left tackle. Ben Bredeson originally played a security guard and is currently playing center. Mike Jordan has been promoted from the training squad and plays the left guard. Cody Mauch and Luke Goedeke were in a natural position to start the season.
Right guard Bucs Cody Mauch suffered a season-ending knee injury Monday night. Despite the injury, Mauch finished playing the game.

However, both Goedeke and Mauch were injured in their second week victory. I’ll miss Goedeke for a while. I saw a backup Charlie Heck go in and replace Goedeke on MNF. Right guard Cody Mauch played the entire game, but appeared in week three injuries report. Head coach Todd Bowles said Mouch could miss out on the match-ups of the third week vs. Jets.
Unfortunately, Mauch was ruled out for the remainder of the 2025 season due to a knee injury. It’s absolutely brutal for the Buccaneers, who have already made some changes to the offensive line. Tampa Bay will likely start Elijah Kurien with RG as Mauch heads towards the season. He was his sixth pick in the UTEP of the 2024 NFL Draft. Klien has never started a game in the NFL before. It’s possible he will start the final 15 games of the 2025 season. Additionally, the Bucs signed Dan Feeney from the Buffalo practice squad as offensive line depth.
