In week one, the 49ers were on their way to NFC West Rivalry Game vs. The Seahawks. Brock Purdy and the Niners scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, winning Seattle 17-13.
San Francisco’s All-Prote George Kittle made the game hot with four catches and a touchdown for 25 yards. Unfortunately, Kittle was seen on the sidelines wearing a hat and later removed from the game. He was dealing with a hamstring injury. Kittle had an MRI on Monday, with the 31-year-old set to miss multiple weeks. Not ideal for the 49ers who handle some injuries in the attack.

The 49ers won in week 1 and left, but what will the cost be? San Francisco has several key offensive players in the injury report. Tight end George Kittle has the worst injuries so far. On Monday, NFL Insider announced that Kittle is due to miss multiple weeks due to a hamstring injury. Last season, Kittle played 15 of the 17 games for the 49ers. After suffering a hamstring injury in week 1, Kittle could play under 15 games in 2025.
After George Kittle, there are Jake Ton and Luke Farrell on TE’s depth chart. Tong caught a touchdown pass that won the final game from Niners QB Brock Purdy. Backup TE finished the game with three catches and a touchdown for 15 yards. Jake Tons and Luke Farrell fill out on TE, and Kittle misses the time.

Additionally, he started QB Brock Purdy and left Sunday’s first week game with multiple injuries. Coach Kyle Shanahan said Purdy is dealing with toe and shoulder issues. However, toe injuries are much worse for Purdy. His injury status will be decided later this week. San Francisco’s backup QB is former Patriot starter McJones.
Niners WR Juan Jennings suffered a shoulder injury in the first week matchup vs. Seahawks. He had undergone a CT scan, but his injuries did not appear to be serious. This is a certain degree of positivity for the team after the George Kittle news. San Francisco will run in week two to play against the Saints of New Orleans. Will Block Purdy be available in week 2 after suffering toe and shoulder injuries?
