After a four-straight winning season, Dolphins were flat in that goal in 2024. The team finished 8-9, but it wasn’t the offensive product Miami had in the past.
As a team, dolphins need to stay healthy for the 2025 season. One of the key contributors of last season was RB De’von Achane. He played in 17 games and got off to a 16 start. Recently, Achane missed time due to a calf injury. He missed Miami’s final preseason game. On Wednesday, Dolphins GM Chris Grier reported that Devon Achane will be available for week one and in the Colts.

Last week, the dolphins were not practicing RB de’von Achane due to a calf injury. Additionally, he missed the team’s final preseason game on Saturday, August 23rd. It’s possible that Achane won’t practice much this week either. Miami will take approximately two weeks to begin the 2025 season. On Wednesday morning, Dolphin GM Chris Grier shared the latest update on Achance’s positive injuries.
He told reporters that the 23-year-old RB will be available in week one. That’s exactly what dolphin fans wanted to hear. Over his first two seasons with the team, De’von Achane proved he was a double threat RB. As a rookie, Achine had 800 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns on 103 carries. Additionally, he had 27 catches with 197 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Achance played 11 games and made four starts for Dolphins in 2023 as a rookie. Last season, Achane took over as Miami’s full-time starter. He played in all 17 of their games and started 16 times. Akane carried the ball 203 times for 907 yards and six rushing touchdowns. The second-year pro exploded in the receiving game with 78 catches for 592 yards and six touchdowns. Heading towards 2025, Achane is a hallmark of dolphin attacks.
In 10 of last season’s 17 games, De’von Achane saw at least five targets. This is a high level for RB, but Achane makes the most of his opportunities. He scored 78 out of 87 targets in 2024. Young RB averaged 34.2 yards per game last season. Chris Grier is massive, with De’von Achane getting ready for week one. Miami will open its 2025 season with the Indianapolis Colts and Roads.
