Do you dream of starting your own business? You are not alone. More and more women in Spain are building companies that reflect their creativity, vision and grit, turning profits into profits. But honestly, you can start a business and feel overwhelming. It’s easy to get stuck between funding, paperwork and figuring out where to start. Good news? Spain has a wealth of support designed exclusively for women ready to jump.

One of the most well-known programs is Apoyo empresarial Alas Mujeres (Paem), run by the Las Mujeres Institute and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce. Available through more than 50 chambers nationwide, Paem provides free guidance on business planning, personalized mentorship and helps you navigate your management steps. You even have access to microcredits up to 30,000 euros and no collateral is required. From brainstorming ideas to securing your first loan, Paem will show you every step of the way.

If your ideas are digital or technology-focused, ENISA’s “Empredendoras Digitales” program could become your ticket. With loans ranging from 25,000 to 1.5 million euros, the loan is perfect for startups and scale-ups led by women who want to grow, expand, or become international. The application is easy via the ENISA website or the Spanish Digital Portal. The Ministry of Equality also has your back. Through the local room, women have access to advisory services on funding, legal requirements and market research. If the project is viable, you can qualify for a loan of up to 25,000 euros through Microbank. Everything is unsecured.

Regional and EU-backed programs add even more options to explore.

Building your dreams also means building a network. Organizations like Womenalia and Aseme connect with mentoring you, training, and other entrepreneurs who get it. You don’t need to be scared of even documents. Platforms like Circe will help you register your company as Atónoma or SL. Gestor can make tax, social security and bureaucracy easier.
