Prophero, a company from Australia’s Proptech, will move its headquarters to Spain, securing major EU-backed funds to double its growth.
BBVA Spark has funded 2.5 million euros to drive the digital real estate platform as the Australian-setting startup shifts its headquarters to Spain and targets a massive expansion in the country’s housing market.
The transaction announced on August 4, 2025 is European Investment Fund Under Investeu The programme will strengthen the liquidity of Pro hero as it seeks to double its business in Spain by the end of next year.

Founded in Australia, Prophero operates in four countries and currently boasts over 10,000 active users. Its platform uses AI and data analytics to help users make smarter real estate investments and provide digital tools for remote buyers and portfolio builders.
BBVA Spark, an innovation unit launched by BBVA in 2022, has chosen to support it professionally based on its scalable business model and disruptive technology.
As the BBVA press release quoted, Miguel Angel Alcala, head of Spain’s BBVA Spark, said:
Prophero co-founder Pablo Gil called the investment in the company’s plan to grow and meet the rise in digital real estate solutions and increased demand as “basic.”
The funding will boost innovative startups through the InvestEU programme, another example of EU financial support. BBVA Spark’s Tailored Approach provides basic banking to debt services and supports fast-growing companies such as the Pro hero scale from Spain to globally.
