IMDBPro formed a collaboration with the International Association of Casting Directors (ICDA), designed to help ICDA members use IMDBPro Premium for discovering and casting talent around the world.
As part of the arrangement, IMDBPro, a membership service for Amazon-owned entertainment database IMDB, has launched the ability to display the ICDA logo on Associate members’ IMDB and IMDBPro name pages.
The ability for database users to search for casting directors via validated ICDA filters is also available to members of the US casting professional organization Casting Society and actor Union SAG-AFTRA.
The ICDA was launched in 2023 after evolving from the International Casting Directors Network, an international nonprofit organization formed in Berlin in 2019. The association has over 50 members from 38 countries.
IMDB CEO Nikki Santoro commented: “This new collaboration between IMDBPro and the International Association of Casting Directors shows a milestone in its commitment to discovering talent for projects to support casting directors and other industry decision makers. IMDBProPremium enables ICDA members to leverage their global talent and contribute to international talent.”
Lana Veenker, president of ICDA, added: “Chasing an international project requires a complete toolkit of skills, knowledge, passion and resources to advance the best actors for each role. IMDBPro Premium enhances your ability to cast directors and discovers the talent of global productions more thoroughly and efficiently.
