USCIS Rescinds Policy to Allow More Restrictions on ‘Stateless’ Persons

Withdrawal of the policy, it will be easier for agencies to determine statelessness and process applications for immigration benefits accordingly.

The Washington-US Citizenship Office (USCIS) has announced that it will withdraw policies adopted during the Biden administration.

“Stateless” is a situation in which an individual has not owned a nationality in which country he has previously done, but often for political reasons, a nationality that was unilaterally abolished by the government of the country. In the United States, if you do not own the nationality of another country, a US citizen who waives citizenship may become stateless.
