The second round of the Polish presidential election is set to be tight, with both candidates heading straight. Civic Union candidate Rafau Truzaskovsky and both candidates, law and justice or Pis Party-backed candidates, have argued that if they win, Poland as a whole would win.

Tens of thousands of poles from across the country participated in dueling a patriotic march in Warsaw on Sunday.

Flags and flags of Poland as well as the European Union flew to Trzaskowski’s “The Great Patriots’ March.”

“We came from a small village from Kokoskow near Stargard Gdaniski and stood up at 6am. Of course we (vote) for Rafau Truzaskowsky.

“Maybe it’s not because I was his first voter, of course, not because I didn’t vote for him in his first round, but even so, we need to mobilize,” said the young man in March, where this is the first presidential election he can vote for.

Meanwhile, the “Polish march” people who support the Nowrocky emphasized the importance of traditional values.

“I want Poland to be Poland, this is the foundation for me,” a march attendee told Euroneus.

“We support the right-wing views. First, freedom, sovereignty, defense of the border, defense of Zloti in Poland. We do very well economically,” another woman said as she was walking through the centre with other Nowrocky supporters.

“We think Karol (Naurocky) and Poland are safe. We don’t want illegal immigrants. We want to feel safe,” explained another woman who went on a march with her young children.

According to Donald Tass, half a million people attended in March to support Trzaskowski. “There are 500,000 people. I believe in you. I believe in Poland,” the prime minister wrote on social media platform X.

Meanwhile, the march organizers in support of Nawrocki reported that at least 100,000 people attended.

However, news outlets, including the Associated Press, and local media reported much lower attendance, claiming tens of thousands of poles had taken part in both marches.

German police authorities did not provide information regarding the voting at the march.

Support from Romania

Nixon Dunn, the pro-European mayor of Bucharest, took part in the “March of the Great Patriots” and sent a strong symbol of his support for European values.

During his speech, Dan emphasized that they share the same values and priorities. President Elect said the country cannot develop without a unified European Union and believes in a strong Poland and a strong European Union.

He also assured him that he would work closely with Rafau Truzaskovsky and Donald Task as president of Romania.

On May 13th, nationalist Romanian presidential candidate George Simion came to Poland to support his opponent, Law and Judicial Party-backed Nowrocky.

The second round of the Poland presidential election will take place on June 1st.
