Jake DeBrask played for Boston for the first time on Tuesday night, and after leaving the Bruins in the summer, he scored a goal when the Canucks kept their former team out.

DeBrask played seven seasons for Boston before making his first move in the NHL this year, returning to haunt the Bruins when the Canucks visited.
Boston’s loss was their first since they fired Jim Montgomery last week.
The Bruins looked like they were turning the corner without the head coach at the helm, but after being locked up by the Canucks at TD Garden, they set this week.
Debrusk won Vancouver with his sixth goal of the season so far. After scoring in the first three games of the year, the 28-year-old has endured a goal drought until this week, but his goal against Boston was DeBrask’s third in the last two games.

“It was probably the strangest game I’ve played since my first game,” DeBrask said after the match. “It was my mental state, but the guys were amazing.
“You can think of anything you want to think, but when the push sticks out and you’re on the ice, you get two points,” DeBrask said on his return home. ”
DeBrask remained quite positive about the situation in Boston despite being locked out by his new team, and he thought the Bruins had played well in the loss.
“Obviously, bringing out victory for guys like me means a lot. In fact, I thought they played a great game, and that’s the best thing I’ve seen.
With Tuesday’s victory, the Canucks moved T 11-6-3 for the season, recording consecutive wins before facing the Penguins before tonight’s trip to Pittsburgh.
