In 2024, the Steelers went 10-7. Justin Fields started sixth inning, and Russell Wilson started Pittsburgh’s 11 games. They lost in the first round of the Buffalo Bills’ playoffs.
Both Field and Wilson have signed new teams for the 2025 season. There are rumours that Aaron Rodgers might sign Pittsburgh, but nothing is final. On Friday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Steelers had conducted four pre-draft interviews. One of them was Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart.
Will the Steelers draft Jackson Dirt in 2025?

To begin his college career, Jaxson Dart spent his freshman season at USC. He played six games for the Trojan horse. Advances the 2022 season, Dirt has won three straight games against Ole Miss to begin 13 games for the Rebels. His most productive season with Ole Miss came in 2024 as a senior. He threw for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns and six interceptions. Dirt averages (329.2) yards per game.
His yards (4,279), completion rate (69.3), and yards per GA, E (329.2) led the SEC in 2024. Their current roster includes Mason Rudolph and Skyler Thompson in Pittsburgh. The Steelers could add QBs through the draft.
The Mock Draft features Jaxson Dart as the early 2025 second round pick. Even if the Steelers signed Aaron Rodgers, they still managed to draft Dart. Rodgers will be 42 next season, and Dirt will be 22 this spring. Drafting the dirt and having Rogers as a veteran QB is not Pittsburgh’s worst move. Jaxson Dart has many starting experiences in college. If he has a mentor like Aaron Rodgers, his transition to the NFL could be smoother. We’ll have to wait for what Jaxson Dart’s future will look like in the 2025 NFL Draft.
