Belal Muhammad will withdraw from UFC 310 next month and was injured from his main event against Shavkat Rakhmonov. When Muhammad left, Alex Pereira was interested in a quick return to the Octagon.
Will Alex Pereira fight in UFC 310?
Shavkat Rakhmonov currently has no one to compete in UFC 310 in December after Belal Muhammed escaped from the main event with a toe injury.
With Muhammed unavailable, Alex Pereira reportedly was asked to save the main event and step in to fight the “nomads.”
It’s only been a month since “Poitan” last activist, and he enjoyed another emphatic victory at UFC 307, earning a knockout victory over Khalil Rountree Jr. at the beginning of October.
After the fight, Pereira announced that he wanted to take some time out of the fight, but the opportunity to save UFC 310 appears to have intrigued the Brazilians.
Pereira appears to have responded to Muhammad’s withdrawal after posting a mysterious reply on Instagram a few hours after the announcement.

However, a quick turnaround is nothing new for the current light heavyweight champion, as Pereira intervened twice in the past to save UFC events in recent notifications.
At UFC 303, Pereira came to fight Jiri Prochazka with just two weeks of notice, and he did the same thing in the UFC 300 against Jamahar Hill just two months ago. In both matches, Pereira came out on the top and proved that he couldn’t stop likewise with the octagon without preparation.
Poatan currently holds a 12-2-0 record in the UFC and has become a fan favorite in recent years, proving the Brazilian’s willingness to compete with anyone and anyone.
This year was still the best year for Alex Pereira, who was able to close the unbeaten 2024 in December with his title defense against Shavkat Rakhmonov.
