In a bold escalation of US military actions in the Middle East and Africa, President Donald Trump announced a series of massive air and naval attacks against Yemen’s Hooty militants, targeting dozens of sites managed by Iran-backed groups.
This move is considered by many of my experts to be the first test mission against Iran. The attack is said to aim to curb the permanent attacks of the Housis on international shipping in the Red Sea. The strike hit radar, air defense, missile and drone systems across Yemen, including the capital Sanaa, and residents reported a massive explosion.
Trump went to his own true social media site and said, “Today, I ordered the US military to launch a decisive and powerful military action against the hooti terrorists in Yemen.” He denounced groups of “relentless campaigns of copyright infringement, violence and terrorism” against America and allied ships, aircraft and drones, and vowed to use “overwhelming deadly forces” until Houthis quits.

The president also issued a sigh and harsh warning to Iran, the main supporter of Houthis. Don’t intimidate the Americans. ”
Houthis, which has dominated much of Yemen since 2014, reported civilian casualties in Sanaa’s Shouab district, with the media office claiming that residential areas have been hit. The group, which suspended the attack during the recent Gaza ceasefire, had threatened to resume targeting Israeli ships following the Israeli aid lockdown in Gaza in early March. Both the Yemeni and Iranian governments are allegedly supported Hamas in Palestine.
US authorities have confirmed that the strike is one-sided and distinguished it from previous joint operations between Britain and Israel under the Biden administration. The attack follows Trump’s January reclassification of the Houches as a “foreign terrorist organization,” and reverses Biden’s registration. Analysts believe this is both a strategic move to secure transport lanes and a signal to Iran amid a nuclear deadlock, raising tensions across the unstable region.
