In recent years, the Marvel multiverse has become a bit overwhelming for more casual fans who may have seen most of the films but only engaged with the Disney+ offerings, which regularly introduce fresh concepts and characters that eventually end up in the films. Deadpool and Wolverinefor example, it uses the Time Variation Authority (TVA) – most of it Curls but fresh to the movies – to aid Deadpool in the MCU.
“I made this film with certainly a hearty respect and gratitude for the rabid fans who have the utmost mastery of the mythology and lore of these characters and this world. But I didn’t want to assume it. This video was created for entertainment and requires no prior preparation.
Also, Deadpool and Wolverine doesn’t have to come up with a plot to fuel enthusiasm, what to do when there are almost daily articles speculating about Taylor Swift’s performance (and a Wikipedia page of almost 5,000 words). It’s unclear how the Venn diagram aligns for Swifties and Marvel fans, but one thing is obvious: United is a formidable group.
Marvel had some mishaps in Phase 5, with movies like Miracles performing poorly financially and others disappointing critics. Outside of the MCU, the industry is suffering from so-called “superhero fatigue” that has sent DC back to the drawing board for a fresh start. But Deadpool and Wolverine should not be taken lightly.

“Audiences are hungry for a good time at the movies,” Levy said. “They want to be delighted, transported and entertained. And when it is given to them, will it be so? Barbie doll,Oppenheimer or any number of other recent videos, appear.” He added: “The film was created to delight the audience. I think they’re going to have a very fun ride.”
