When you get on a plane, there are many things you can expect that could go wrong. The person in front of you they could recline their seat and throw their long hair over the screen. The baby may cry. Your roommate may be one of them these diseased freaks who take off their socks and shoes. Hell, you could even encounter terrible turbulence. Then there are things you would never expect, like 70 passengers getting the same stomach bug and turning your flight into a hellish puke tube.
The Daily mail reports that a enormous number of passengers on Condor Airlines flight DE2315 from Mauritius to Frankfurt appeared to have contracted the same stomach illness. With only a few bathrooms available and 70 passengers desperately needing to vomit, you can only imagine how terrible the rest of the flight was. Apparently, however, they were close enough to their destination that they simply kept driving until they reached Frankfurt, where emergency personnel had already gathered to attend to the diseased passengers.
When going on a cruise, you need to know that there is a risk of contracting norovirus or a Covid-19 epidemic, but at least on a cruise you can just stay in the cabin and vomit in peace. While it’s possible for one or two passengers to get diseased on a plane, you don’t really expect half the plane to spill their lunch everywhere.
A spokesman for Condor Airlines confirmed this information to German authorities Picture that the incident actually occurred and noted that if there was anything wrong with the food, it would have come from Mauritius. Despite this, they still claimed they didn’t know exactly what went wrong, saying:
Condor has already initiated an investigation into the matter to find out the cause and possible remedial measures. Condor works closely with all responsible partners and authorities. There are currently no results available. We generally do not engage in speculation as to the cause, for example about particular onboard menus being prepared in Mauritius.
Regardless of the actual cause of the vomiting, nothing will change the fact that the passengers on this flight were trapped in the real version that infamous Family Guy scene. Let’s hope the airline steps in and provides counseling for everyone involved, because something tells us they’ll need a lot of therapy to deal with this.
