Indonesian bowler Rohmalia Rohmalia created history after registering the best bowling figures in the history of T20Is. At the age of 17, the right-handed off-spinner finished against Mongolia in the 5th T20I of the 5-match series with incredible figures of 3.2-3-0-7. The teenage sensation broke Dutchwoman Frederique Overdijk’s record of 4-2-3-7 against France in a 2021 European Women’s T20 World Cup qualifying match at La Manga Club Top Ground.
Rohmalia also became the fourth bowler in T20Is history to take 7 wickets in T20Is after Overdijk, Argentine Alison Stocks and Malaysian Syazrul Ezat Idrus. Interestingly, Rohmalia also made her debut in international cricket in the same match. Rohmalia also broke the record of highest T20I debut scorer, surpassing Anjali Chand’s 2.1-2-0-6 for Nepal against Maldives in 2019.
