The 2025 Land Rover Defender heads into the novel model year with a few minor updates, the most notable of which are novel captain’s chairs for the three-row 130 model.
Instead of a second-row bench as the only option, you can now select the Captain’s Seat Package in the configurator, which reduces the total seating capacity to seven instead of eight. The novel luxury captain’s chairs are both heated and cooled, have armrests on both sides, feature winged headrests, and the space between them remains open for effortless access to the third row. A pair of cupholders just behind the front center console also replaces the fold-down armrest/drink holder from the center bench seat.
As well as the 130’s novel seating arrangement, Land Rover says it has simplified the specification process by putting many individual options into ready-made ‘packages’ to reduce ordering complexity. Land Rover already had a number of “packages” available in previous model years, but the company says it’s digging deeper into this strategy for 2025.
There’s no word on it, but Land Rover unveiled the Sedona edition of its Defender 110 in Europe today, with a unique Sedona Red exterior and special accents throughout the car. It looks fantastic (as you can see in the photo directly above), but Land Rover has once again missed the availability of a special model in the US.
Prices for 2025 Defender models are also unknown, and it appears that the two-door 90 models will raise by $500 to $58,375. Prices for the 110 start at $62,275 (up $200) and the 130 at $71,175 (up $600). Land Rover says the 2025 models will arrive at dealers overdue this summer.
