Acura unveiled the 2025 MDX in April. Now, before the updated flagship crossover arrives at dealerships, the brand has released prices. We’ll start with the numbers: Prices will go from $850 to $1,550, with $100 of that being the higher $1,350 destination fee. The MSRPs for the latest MDX destination and their differences from 2024 are:
- Basic FWD: $52,250 ($850)
- SH-AWD database: $54,450 ($850)
- FWD Technology Package: $57,650 ($1,550)
- SH-AWD Technology Package: $59,850 ($1,550)
- A SH-AWD specification: $62,850 ($1,050)
- SH-AWD Advanced Package: $67,350 ($2,000)
- A-Spec Advance SH-AWD: $69,350 (modern finish)
- Type S Advance SH-AWD: $76,300 ($1,250)
How much extra money is there? Most importantly, there’s a modern Google-coded infotainment system that ditches Acura’s clunky and unloved True Touchpad interface in favor of a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Google built-in means an improved version of Google Maps is on board, along with various apps from the Google Play Store (including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay). The space in the center console previously reserved for the touchpad and palm rest now houses a wide, shallow bin and a more accessible wireless phone charger. Elsewhere in the cabin, there’s a modern 19- or 31-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system on all but the base trims, better hardware for the AcuraWatch driver assistance package, and additional sound deadening and rear laminated glass on most trims. Visual differences on the outside are also subtle and include revised lower grilles on both standard and Type S models, modern grille inserts on both models, and a revised grille surround that removes the chrome lipstick look of the standard MDX. The taillights are now darker and there are modern wheel designs everywhere.
There may be a few more Easter eggs for those living on MDX. Member of the MDXers the forum noticed that the 2025 Advance trim has body-colored skirting boards the same as the delayed third-generation MDX, instead of the black moldings used on the fourth-generation through 2024.
As for these trims, the A-Spec with Advance Package is modern, allowing buyers to combine the A-Spec’s sportier appearance with the Advance’s luxury and technology features, such as 16-way power front seats, a head-up display and surround sound. -camera view. Acura is also adding quilted leather seats to the modern trim, with stitched leather once exclusive to the Type S. Above this spec, a Type S loses the base trim, which was sold without the Advance package, meaning it costs $6,600 to get into the car dollars more Type S for 2025. Pricing for the modern A-Spec Advance is similar to that of the discontinued base Type S. And because the A-Spec Advance comes with quilted leather, the Type S Advance seats are upholstered in soft-touch Milano leather to differentiate them from the upholstery below.
